Phil Kiernan Proprietor Originally from Dublin & married to his beautiful wife Manda Kiernan (that’s got to be worth a pint of Guinness) has been in the hotel & leisure Trade since 1985. After purchasing The Farmers boy Inn in Sept 2000 Phil’s Passion, energy & high customer Service approach is very obvious when you see him working at The Farmers Boy Inn. Phil says & I quote, I love meeting people on a daily basis. It gives me such a buzz to see my guests & friends having a wonderful time, relaxing & enjoying the surroundings at The Farmers Boy Inn. Phil also opened pies in 2009 and manufactures his Gourmet range throughout the UK.
Richard Bodger is our Head Chef originally from London he has worked at The Farmers Boy Inn since 2005. Richard brings amazing Colours, Flare & Flavours when he cooks, he has such Passion for great Traditional British & European Food. He loves to cook with local produce when possible & loves to test the boundaries when cooking a new dish. His attention to detail is a pleasure to witness.
Sally Lawson is General Manager & Front of House. First worked at the tender age of 13 at a waitress for Phil. Over the years she has developed her skills as a confident Manager, her attention to customer service & customer needs knows no boundaries which is constantly changing year by year. Sally’s smile, energy & enthusiasm when meeting people is a pleasure on the eye. Phil says, she is a very important asset to The Farmers Boy Inn.

Another Key Member of our Team is my Mother-in-Law Bell Hyett who runs everything to do with the accommodation & manages to keep everyone in order!
